The current global health crisis is shattering our personal and social life. To prevent contagion, to restore human contact and to restart the economy, without a risk of replication, we need new ways to suppress the spread of the coronavirus and to keep us safe.

Our initial sense of the nano mission is much clearer now, when all initial conceptual and lab-scale tests have already confirmed that HalloyStar, our novel, safe and efficient antiviral agent, may be an effective way to protect a healthy life. It’s a great privilege!

When researchers conducted systematic reviews of a variety of interventions used during the SARS outbreak, they found that wearing a mask was actually more effective than washing hands at least 10 times daily — at about 68%.

Once in action, used as a functional coating, HalloyStar works as a flow-through outdoor air purifier with a sufficient flow-rate and reaction time, using high photocatalytic and antimicrobial capabilities to deactivate any airborne microbes, regardless of the weather.

We use our in-house HalloyFusion Method (patent application pending) to infuse a unique composition of selected nanoparticles, combining their photocatalytical robustness and antimicrobial potency (patent application pending), into HalloySite, the most efficient nano filler available in the world today, due to the high content of natural halloysite nano plates (HNPs).

It is the action of activated radical forms of oxygen and their earlier light-induced formations, resulting from the process of photocatalytical absorption of light, that is a key element of our solution. They attack airborne microbes which are in direct contact with the active surfaces of our protective coating, by destroying their biological content through oxidative stress, and further mineralization of all organic compounds of CO2 and H2O.

In very dark indoor or outdoor conditions, this key visible-light-driven photocatalytical function of the HalloyStar agent is set into a standby state. But, as soon as the light is back, in any natural or artificial form, the decontamination process conducted by activated oxygen is immediately set in motion.

We only use simply and well-known printing methods to durably coat any suitable textile carrier with our carefully engineered agent, allowing them to be reusable and washable.

Tests involved control of coating activity on the surface of HalloyNano face mask.

Tests conducted in the form of photocatalytic activity tests and assessing the coating’s capability to degrade organic contamination by the material under study in the conditions of white light irradiation confirmed that HALLOYNANO coating is PHOTOCATALYTICALLY ACTIVE and degrades (oxidizes) organic contamination both in sunlight and in artificial light.

Tests conducted based on bioluminescence method using enzymatic reaction of ATP released by microorganisms and allowing to assess the surface’s capability to destroy microbes confirmed that HALLOYNANO COATING effectively deactivates microbes both in sunlight and in artificial light.

CERTIFICAT CONFIRMANT L’ACTIVITÉ DU REVÊTEMENT HALLOYNANO SUR LA SURFACE D’UN MASQUE PROTECTEUR

Les essais ont concerné le contrôle de l’activité du revêtement sur la surface d’un masque protecteur sous la marque HalloyNano.

Les essais réalisés au moyen des tests d’activité photocatylitique évaluant la capacité du revêtement à dégrader la pollution organique par le produit testé dans les conditions d’exposition à la lumière blanche ont confirmé que LE REVÊTEMENT HALLOYNANO présente une ACTIVITÉ PHOTOCATYLITIQUE et il dégrade (oxyde) la pollution organique aussi bien à la lumière solaire qu’artificielle.

Les essais réalisés au moyen de la méthode de la bioluminescence utilisant la réaction enzymatique de l’ATP libéré par des micro-organismes, permettant l’estimation de la capacité de la surface à détruire les microbes, ont confirmé que LE REVÊTEMENT HALLOYNANO inactive efficacement les microbes aussi bien à la lumière solaire qu’artificielle.

Die Prüfungen umfassten die Kontrolle der Aktivität der Beschichtung auf der Oberfläche einer Gesichtsmaske unter der Marke HalloyNano.

Die Prüfungen, die aufgrund der Tests über die photokatalytische Aktivität zur Bewertung der Fähigkeit der Schicht zum Abbau von organischen Schadstoffen durch das zu prüfende Material unter Bestrahlung mit Weißlicht durchgeführt wurden, haben bestätigt, dass die HALLOYNANO-BESCHICHTUNG PHOTOKATALYTISCH AKTIV ist und organische Schadstoffe sowohl im Sonnenlicht als auch im künstlichen Licht abbaut (oxidiert).

Die Prüfungen, die anhand der Biolumineszenz-Methode, in der die enzymatische Reaktion von durch Mikroorganismen freigesetztem ATP zum Einsatz kommt, durchgeführt wurden und der Bewertung der Fähigkeit der Oberfläche zur Zerstörung von Mikroorganismen dienten, haben bestätigt, dass die HALLOYNANO-BESCHICHTUNG sowohl im Sonnenlicht als auch im künstlichen Licht erfolgreich Mikroorganismen inaktiviert.

We also reviewed all substances with proven photocatalytical activities, in the presence of both natural and artificial light, looking for additional benefits of potential antimicrobial synergy.

Taken together, all these studies offered us a very strong scientific justification for the development of HalloyStar, our in-house antimicrobial nano agent, and its first-generation formula.

In particular, there is a strong possibility that HalloyStar, due to certain specific properties of selected nanoparticles – confirmed by earlier scientific studies, laboratory research and clinical tests – would also prove its general anti-corona viral efficiency. Unfortunately, any final validation of this claim, especially against COVID-19, will take 3 to 6 months.
